Parchment:
We use specially created parchment in order to reproduce
the texture, smell, and correspondence of the original codexes.
In our facsimile editions, one can discern the varying thicknesses
of the parchment or vellum, achieved via a detailed measurement
of each one of the original manuscript folios with a micrometer.
We even respect the parchment’s irregularities, which
are the result of the different external agents (woodworm,
humidity, fires, etc.) of the environments in which the
codexes were conserved.
