·As a publishing house specializing in the publication of facsimiles of medieval codexes, our ambitious vocation has been to create a varied catalogue that is informed by the ideal of the Renaissance library. To attain this we incorporate the artistic, scientific, and religious materials that bring to light the knowledge achieved by humanity through the Early Middle Ages, reflecting its spirit and thought.
·This objective is achieved by reproducing, with absolute fidelity to the original, the most profusely illustrated codexes of the highest artistic quality by the most prestigious royal painters and illuminators, whose paintings on panel or parchment are found conserved in the most important museums and libraries in the world. Inks, hand-applied gold, parchment, and both artisanal and new techniques are brought together to assure that the resulting work is a faithful reflection of that of the scriptorium artists, with a final result that makes it difficult to distinguish between the original and the facsimile.
